Starting something
Returning to writing: Wales, politics, data and the occasional personal piece
I have been away from writing for a long time. It’s something I miss as a way of organising my ideas and getting to the heart of what I really believe.
There have been a lot of changes in Welsh politics due to the Senedd election this year, with Plaid becoming the largest party and forming the government. Opinion polls suggest that things will continue to change in surprising ways. It’s an exciting (if exhausting) time to be writing about Wales, and a crucial time to be focussed on policy and how data and new technical developments can help inform the way we develop our country into the future.
Over the past few years, I have also been working as a data analyst, and want to use my skills to explore the issues facing Wales, and to even see if they can help lead to some interesting solutions.
I have also included an archive of posts I have written in the past (ones that I have been able to recover!). These were written at different times, including while I was a student and later on while I was a county councillor.
So here we are, back to blogging, an activity that I have been doing on-and-off since 2007. I hope you will find what I have to say interesting.
